to support girls’ soccer at Bishop Ludden Junior/Senior High School.
Club Bylaws
Membership Qualifications:
Membership in the Bishop Ludden Girls’ Soccer Booster
Club (the Club) is open to all parents and guardians of girls participating
in the soccer programs at Bishop Ludden on either the Varsity, Junior Varsity
or Modified level. Additionally, any individual over the age of 19 who
is not a student at Bishop Ludden is eligible for membership. To become
a member the individual must be willing to uphold the Club policies and
subscribe to its bylaws. The coaches of the Varsity, Junior Varsity and
Modified programs are ex-officio members of the Club.
Fiscal Year
The fiscal year of the Club shall be the same as the fiscal
year of the Gaelic Knights Booster Club.
Club Officers
A nominating committee shall be appointed by the President
of the Club at the Winter/Spring meeting to present a slate of candidates
for election as Club officers at the May meeting. The term of the officers
shall run annually from July 1 to June 30.
The officers of the club shall be as follows:
President - The President shall prepare the agenda and
preside over the meetings of the Club. The President shall appoint committees
as needed to carry on Club activities. In the case that the Gaelic Knights
Representative cannot attend a meeting of the Gaelic Knights Booster Club,
the President shall attend the meeting in his/her place.
Secretary - the Secretary shall record the minutes of
all meetings and keep such records for the future reference of the Club.
Treasurer - The Treasurer shall receive all moneys of
the Club keep an accurate record of the Club’s receipts and disbursements.
This record of activity shall be reconciled to the records maintained by
the Gaelic Knights Booster Club and be presented to the Club at each meeting.
Gaelic Knights Representative - The Gaelic Knights Representative
along with the Varsity Coach shall represent the Club at the meetings of
the Gaelic Knights Booster Club. In the case of the absence of the President
at a Club meeting the Gaelic Knights Representative shall assume the President’s
duties at the meeting.
An officer may be eligible to serve more than one term in
the same office. A vacancy occurring in any office shall be filled for
the remainder of the officer’s term by a majority vote of the remaining
members of an Executive Committee. The Executive Committee shall consist
of the President, Secretary, Treasurer, Gaelic Knights Representative and
Varsity Soccer Coach. The Offices of Secretary and Treasurer can be combined
if so desired by the membership.
Meetings

Regular meetings of the Club shall be at 7:00 p.m. on a schedule
to be established at the beginning of each fiscal year. The President of
the Club may call special meetings at any time.

Members present at the meeting shall constitute a quorum
for the purpose of transacting business or electing officers.

Order of business shall be:
Circulation of a "sign in" roster.
Opening prayer.
Reading and approval of the minutes of the preceding meeting.
Report of the Gaelic Knights Representative.
Reports of any committees or ongoing activities.
New business.
Adjournment.
Operating Guidelines

The Varsity Coach or another member of the coaching staff
designated by the Varsity Coach shall be present at all meetings of the
Club to represent the interests of the Soccer Program.

The membership or lack of membership, by a parent or guardian
in the Club shall not affect their student’s eligibility to make the school
teams, or affect their student’s playing time.

Members of the Club shall abide by the guidelines and bylaws
of the Gaelic Knights Booster Club and the Club. Violation shall be cause
for revocation of membership in the Club.

Preliminary fundraising activities for the next fiscal year
shall be proposed and voted on at a Spring meeting for presentation to
the Gaelic Knights Booster Club for their approval. Other fundraising opportunities
shall be presented to the Club for a vote as soon as they are known. The
Gaelic Knights Representative will bring these to the Gaelic Knights Booster
Club for approval.

Amendments to these bylaws shall be proposed at a meeting
and may not be voted upon until the next meeting.

In keeping with the spirit of community service that Bishop
Ludden teaches its students, the Club may donate annually 10% of the net
proceeds of its fundraising activities to a charity to be determined
annually at the meeting at which its officers are elected. Donations of
cash, merchandise and/or services shall not be subject to the 10% donation.
